One Year

Well, I am quite the slacker. It has been about a year since we posted here, but I guess it is time since we have been in business for a year now (We'll try and make posting a little more frequent in the second year). It is hard to believe we served our first beer a year ago July 4th. It has been quite a year. We want to thank everyone who has made this year possible. Birmingham has been a great city to get Good People Brewing off the ground. After seeing our first product, the American Brown Ale, hit the market we've worked very hard to expand our offerings to try and satisfy the different palates and to keep things fresh and interesting. In this first year we have expanded our product list to include such styles as Roggenbier, Belgian Pale Ale, Double IPA (Snake Handler) and Russian Imperial Stout (Fatso) just to name a few. Of course some of these offerings are only possible due to the valiant efforts of Free the Hops and the Gourmet Beer Bill.

Also, in this first year we have grown from being served in 3 locations here in Five Points South to over 40 establishments city-wide as well as Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery and Dothan. In addition, we are now on-tap at Verizon Wireless Ampithearter. We are not stopping there. We plan on moving state-wide as soon as we are comfortable that we can meet the commitments of new markets.

We are looking for our 2nd year to be even more exciting than the first, and we see some big things coming down the pike. Thanks again for all of your support. We look forward to putting more delicious and diverse beer in your hands in our 2nd year.
